Today was my last photoshoot of the holidays before the kids go back to school and boy did we get a perfect day for it! I was a little concerned by the weather forecast which said it was going to rain, but the overcast clouds made it perfect for a photoshoot at the beach and there was not one raindrop in sight.
The cloudy weather also meant that there weren't as many people on the beach so it was a perfect setting!I met up with this family at one of my favourite locations and I must say it was a lovely change photographing older children, no puppet shows and no running away from me and the camera!
It was a very calm atmosphere which was great since it was still really hot and humid, which made it a pleasure to take photos of this lovely family.
Thanks for meeting with me today guys, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

{Christina & Gerry's Wedding}
After having a bit of bad luck securing a photographer for their wedding, I was excited to have recently been contacted and asked to photograph Christina and Gerry's special day.
I met up with the bride and groom on Saturday to photograph their wedding which was held in one of our lovely parks in Adelaide. The day was hot, but the ceremony was held beneath a beautiful, big, tree in the garden which gave ample shade for the attendants and all the guests.
The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed which made my job easy, as it's always a pleasure to photograph two people who are just enjoying the spirit of the occassion.
Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day, enjoy your sneak peek!

{Little Miss I and Master J}
I've been a bit slow at posting this blog, but I finally got some photos up from the photoshoot I did last week with my niece and nephew, little Miss L and Master J!
The conditions were perfect, it was early in the morning, before sleep time, there were ducks, bubbles, dress ups, puppets....everything was in order for our shoot.
We all worked hard at entertaining the little ones, but there was just so much around them to take their focus, that looking at any of us was the last thing either of them wanted to do.
Despite achieving very few smiles (and some wicked frowns at times) I got some great shots of the kiddies. I love the one of Miss I kissing her little brother and the last photo of Master J looking into the distance... just look at those lashes!! Thanks for a fun morning, enjoy your sneak peek guys!

{Shhhhh...it's a surprise!}
Today I met up with 2 families who had a great idea of doing a photo shoot as a gift to the grandparents so they could update their 1980's "studio portrait" that is currently sitting pride of place up on their wall.
(Come on, who else has parents who just simply can't take down that very dated, awkwardly staged portrait photo from the 70's or 80's because it was a 'nice' photo in it's day???)
So we decided to go for a very natural setting for something totally different from the studio style, family portrait of the past and went to my favourite park along the River Torrens.
Photographing littlies is always a bit of a challenge and today was no exception, only this time I had 18 month old twins to chase around! (Come to think of it, that's the 2nd set of twin boys in a row this year)!
Despite all of our best efforts, I just couldn't get that one perfect photo with all 5 children facing the same way at the same time, but as I've learnt as a child photographer, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and allow their personalities to shine, by capturing them on the go, doing what makes them happy.

{First Photoshoot for 2012}
After having a couple of weeks off over Christmas and New Years to spend some time with my own family, today was time to get back into the swing of things and do my first family shoot of the year.
It's been VERY hot here in Adelaide over the past week and today was no different, but the area we chose to go to was quite pleasant thanks to the fabulous huge trees all around us.

The two older (twin) brothers, Master L and Master J were great helpers, very co-operative and not a single complaint from either of them, only I kept forgetting which one was which because they're sooo similar to look at. Little Master M was a lively little fella, constantly busy, and the littlest, Master J was a placid bub with the most gorgeous big, blue eyes.
Thanks guys for an enjoyable morning at the park, it was great catching up with you all. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.
